  Release v2026.10.9.

  Breaking changes

  The command line is now built on
  cli-components.

  Python 3.11 or newer is required

  cli-components requires Python 3.11, so modify-csv no longer installs on
  Python 3.10. Upgrade Python, or stay on modify-csv 2026.10.8.

  The apply command is required

  The original form without a command is no longer accepted. Add apply:

  modify-csv IN OUT --script-file F --row 2	modify-csv apply IN OUT --script-file F --row 2

  Help pages and usage errors

  • modify-csv --help lists the commands only. The script contract is on
    modify-csv apply --help and modify-csv template --help.
  • An invalid --cell value is reported with the apply usage line and names
    the option, like every other argument error, for example
    modify-csv apply: error: argument --cell: row must be a zero-based integer.
    The exit status is still 2.
